One character could be coming back to the Dales after the limo crash
Emmerdale fans think they’ve worked out the next twist in the Dales as one villager returns just as Amy and Matty decide to adopt.
In recent episodes, Amy and Matty made the decision that they’d take the next step in their relationship and adopt a child together. This plan could potentially meet some obstacles given the double limo crash that both characters are involved in.
Natalie joined the Dales in 2019 to take on the role of Amy Wyatt who was previously played by Chelsea Halfpenny. Ash’s character Matty Barton married Amy Wyatt on the show in 2024 who got engaged the year before while the pair were at The Woolpack pub.
Amy proposed but Matty was originally concerned she only did so to strengthen her custody case for Kyle. However, the pair soon worked out any differences and have been happy since they made their vows.
On Friday (14th February), they were separated as they went into separate limos to celebrate a night out. While the ITV soap has confirmed that one character will be subjected to a watery grave, fans have theorised another twist in the story.
Nate Robinson left the Dales in 2024 for a new job opportunity in Shetland after the breakdown of his marriage to Tracy.
His departure felt quite sudden for a lot of fans, but some viewers think he could be making his return.
In the aftermath of the limo crash, some fans think Amy and Matty may try to adopt Frankie if anything happens to Tracy. Frankie is the daughter of Nate and Tracy.
On a Reddit thread, u/lilmiss24 wrote: “Nate is alive so Frankie would go to him. Even then Frankie has grandparents and other family in the village before she would go to Amy” after u/gamechangercomments suggested the idea.
u/NewCarob9279 added: “Actually if Tracey dies the Nate who’s the dad will end up getting her or her grandparents that she has in the village or her auntie Vanessa before going to Matty and Amy” u/Equal-Competition930 continued: “Actually that nice idea obviously if Nate still alive so we will see.”
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
