Winter Storm Kingston’s arrival in West Virginia is complicating the ongoing response after weekend floods from Winter Storm Jett killed three people.

Several shelters remain open in the area, and other locations are serving hot meals to victims, The Associated Press reported.

McDowell County Commissioner Michael Brooks said that Kingston “is going to severely hinder, if not halt, a lot of the efforts that we have. We want to ensure that we are doing our best to at least keep people warm.”

Hospitals in Oklahoma received reports of at least 30 weather-related injuries as the storm took hold. Of those injuries, 22 were falls and 8 were related to vehicle accidents, KOCO News reported.
