Woman arrested after Saskatoon bus driver threatened

Saskatoon police have charged a 20-year-old woman after a city bus driver was threatened early Tuesday.

Around 12:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of a Saskatoon Transit driver being threatened at the intersection of 44th Street and First Avenue North, police said in a news release.
Officers heard the driver was threatened “by a woman with a knife after declining to take her to a specific location.”

The driver was not injured, the release reported.
They arrested the woman without incident and found a knife and two screwdrivers on her person.
She is charged with uttering threats, possession of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
